This is a sign I saw today on the Pan-American Highway heading toward Caracas. The subtle misspellings in Spanish are amusing. The author wanted to say, “It is forbidden to throw garbage here”. Instead it says, with several colorful errors: "It is forbidden to vote". At any rate, even with its original meaning, it doesn't seem very effective.

Vi este letrero con sus sutiles errores ortográficos hoy en la Carretera Panamericana. En vez decir: "Prohibido botar basura", lo que se ve es un mensaje político. En todo caso, aún con el significado original, no parece muy efectivo.
