Bromilads and other flowers / Bromelias y otras flores



English: I published this previously in 5/7/11. It's hard to add to images, so I'm copying it here to make new entries about flowers more coherent.

English: I think this is a bromiliad billbergia zebrina. As in all the names I welcome corrections.
Español: Creo que se trata de una bromilia billbergia zebrina. Siempre agradezco cualquier corrección en los nombres.



English: Below, a detailof the same flower: This, I think is some kind of bromeliad neoregalia.
Español: Abajo un detalle de la misma flor: creo se se trata de algún tipo de bromelia neoregalia.




English: Bromelias in flower: they look like blue butterflies. I think this is a bromeliad piticarinia afrorubens.
Español: Bromelias en flor: parecen mariposas azules. Creo que ésta es una bromelia piticarinia afrorubens.



English: They begin like pink feathers and then go deep red. This must be another bromeliad neoregalia, but of another type.
Español: Comienzan como plumas rosadas y luego se asumen un rojo profundo. Esta debe ser otra bromelia neoregalia pero de otro tipo.




English: They call the conical red flower "microphone" in Venezuela, and the hanging one "liqui-liqui".
