Tree trimming / La poda

English: This is a picture I took some months ago and I found it again today looking for something else. It was taken when the tree was being trimmed, and the man doing the work is hidden in plain view among the branches. You can see the freeloader parasite-vine that has grown up the branches.



Español:Esta es una foto que tomé hacia algunos meses, la encontré buscando otra cosa y la publico porque es el retrato de la poda del árbol retratado. Escondido a plena vista entre las ramas está el hombre que hace el trabajo. Se puede ver el vividor "mata-palo" que ha subido el tronco y las ramas.

Dusk / El atardecer

Tropical morning glories / Flor de asagao

English: It's a lovely flower, although it can be a nuisance. It grows on a vine that can cover fences, walls, and even tree trunks, weighing them down and hiding the host's own leaves. In the first pictures the vine is covering the stems of banana plants.
Español: Es una flor hermosa, aunque pueda ser una molestia (confieso que yo fui la culpable de traer las primeras asagaos a casa). Puede cubrir cercas, paredes y aun árboles; añaden peso y terminan ocultando las hojas del anfitrión. En las primeras fotos están subiendo sobre matas de banano (cambur).

English: Here the morning glory competes with another vine -a much worse one. The second one climbs up over tree trunks eventually strangling the host.

More doors and windows / Mas puertas y ventanas

English:
These windows are made from arranging cement blocks so that space is left for air and light. At the same time the ilumination is distributed in very pretty designs. This tropical architecture does not need air conditioning.

Son ventanas hechas con arreglos de bloques de cemento que dejan espacio para el paso de aire y luz, y al mismo tiempo distribuyen la iluminación en hermosos diseños. Este estilo tropical no incluye vidrio: es aire natural.
